It has been my experience that people give up too soon when working with the voice. They want to see the fruits of their labors instantaneously. Rarely does that happen! There is a season for preparing the soil, another for planting the seeds, yet another for watering, and quite another for the sunshine to do its work. Patience is the test one is given in order to bring about a full liberation of the voice.
Patience is in turn fed through consistent focus, trust in the process, and faith in the promised but yet unfulfilled dream of a fully potentialized vocal expression. The soul not only wants but demands its complete expression. Therefore the gardener must allow time for all the elements to work their magic so that the garden will bloom in all its majesty. Ohm!
